Tecno Corona, Bringing Roatan Home

Roatan Links

Visiting Roatan? Here are some of my favorite places on the island! The Hotels, Shops, Attractions and Restaurants listed are places I’ve stayed at, eaten at, or experienced personally.

West Bay

West Bay is the most famous beach in Roatan and possibly the most beautiful. There are several Hotels with Dive Shops and world class snorkeling right off shore. There are also several restaurants to meet your needs.

Hotels

Mayan Princess

The Mayan Princess Beach Resort is a great Hotel in West Bay. It has clean rooms that are well taken care of. The restaurant is good, and the pool is magnificent.

Bananarama

If the Mayan Princess is a bit pricey for you but you still want to stay in West Bay then check out Bananarama. It’s more on the rustic side but the accommodations are adequate and the staff is great.

Restaurants

Il Pomodoro Pizzeria

Good Italian food, decent prices. My favorite is the lasagna!

Buffalo Steak House

Nice quiet atmosphere and good steak.

Shopping

Mayan Princess has a well stocked gift shop as does So Tropic. You can also purchase t-shirts and other items from "Elizabeth" right on the beach.

Attractions

West Bay Beach

West Bay Beach is a beautiful white sand beach with turquoise water. Just go to the “L” dock by Infinite Bay Condo’s and swim straight out for some of the best snorkeling I’ve seen in the Caribbean!

South Shore has one of the best zip line tours in Roatan! It’s on the road that leads to West Bay beach. Great views and most of the time you’re high above the trees. All of their lines are dual cable for safety.

Gumbalimba Park

gumbalimba parkGumbalimba Park has a little of everything. Water activities, suspension bridge, monkeys, gardens and hiking trails. They also have a great zip line tour.
